Northcott Fabric Twister Quilt and Giveaway

Northcott Fabrics have some great fabric lines out right now.  I recently made this quilt using the Freckles line.  This is an older line so it is a little harder to find but it is a possibility that your local quilt shop may still have some.  This was such a fun quilt to make.   I decided to go with a twister design.  Twister quilts are some of my favorite quilts to make.  They are not too complicated although some people think they are.  Twister quilts are a lot easier to make than they look.  For this quilt since I was doing rainbow colors I decided to go with a black background so that it would make all the colors pop.  I am really excited about how this quilt turned out.  I have actually had this quilt done for a while but hadn't had a chance to take some good photos in the natural light and life just getting in the way.


I absolutely love that this fabric is solid but yet has texture.  I love that Northcott always has a way to take solids and make them more interesting but still keep them simple so you can use them on any project.  You could even use these types of fabrics as background colors in your quilts.

    I would love to use them in a couple of quilts I am working on. I love big, bold patterns and tend to forget how much a quilt needs "solid-looking" small prints to bring the pattern together.

    Northcott is a super company, and I love their fabric. If I won I'm pretty sure the fabric would find its way into a quilting project.

    I was buying Northcott |Fabric long before I was a quilter. I have lots of it in my stash . I have been waiting to use my large twister template. my small one has seen several projects. If I won, I'd be sharing with my mom and my friend Pat, who I introduced to quilting last year.
