I was very excited to be able to have the opportunity to share this soup starter with my mom group for a fun night of tasting. This soup starter is just perfect to throw together a quick meal. For my soup I decided to add corn, black beans, white beans, garbanzo beans, and chicken. I also had cheese and sour cream on the side for those who wanted to try it in their own dish.
This soup started is just a little on the spicy side for those people that are more sensitive to spice. I love spicy things, but decided to water it down just a bit because I wasn't sure how it would go over with my group if it was too spicy. This soup turned out very tasty. When I make a taco/tortilla soup of my own I don't usually use starters and make it homemade. Pacific Tortilla Soup starter was very easy to use and helped me skip a step in the cooking process.
I received a couple recipes with my soup starter as well. I decided to try some of the recipes to add a little to our meal. I made this 7 layer bean dip which was very tasty. This was my first time making a 7 layer dip, not because I didn't know how, just because I never had an excuse to make one before. It is one of the simplest side dishes to make for a party. For this dip I used the Pacific refried black beans. These refried black beans are my new favorite refried bean because they have so much flavor.
Each mom was able to take home their own
Pacific Tortilla Soup starter to share with their own family or friends.
This desert recipe was also something I made for the first time. It doesn't look too pretty in the picture but it was very tasty. This was a pumpkin bread pudding recipe. I really enjoy bread pudding so I wanted to give this recipe a try. I don't on the other hand care for pumpkin pie so I wasn't sure how much I would like this recipe. I was very surprised how much I loved this recipe. It tasted very different than bread pudding or pumpkin pie. It was delicious.
It was fun to have a night with the girls and be able to try a new product.
Thanks to my wonderful friends and fellow moms to coming and sharing the night with me!
If you are looking for a new easy meal I recommend you try the new Pacific Tortilla Soup Starter with your family and friends.
