eShakti Dress Review & A SPECIAL FOR MY READERS!!

A little about eShakti:

eShakti began as a small website offering basic cottons and modestly embellished pieces. As we grew, we were tasked with providing design and fit solutions to meet our customers' needs. I have been a customer of eShakti for quite some time now.  It sometimes can be very difficult for me to find clothing that fits "my body" right.  eShakti offers custom sizing and even customizable options for their clothing.  I LOVE this about eShakti because I finally have some pieces of clothing that fit me right.  I know that most custom clothing can be pretty pricy but eShakti offers some very reasonable pricing compared to competitors.   If I had all the money in the world my closet would be chalked full with eShakti clothing!!  For now I just have six outfits from eShakti, but I can say that they are some of my very favorite outfits.   I hope to be able to share more of my style from eShakti with you in future posts including some of the other eShakti outfits that I own.

When I was given the opportunity to do a review for eShakti I was ECSTATIC!!  They are my favorite brand and I always love all the new styles they come out with.   One thing I have learned about being a customer of eShakti is that if I see something I like I must buy it right away because always with my luck it is gone the next time I look.  This fact also keeps eShakti fun and exciting because they are always adding new inventory and changing the looks for each season.  They are always changing colors and styles to go with the different seasons which can be so much fun.

Here is the dress that I picked to review.  I am so in love with this dress!!  This is what the original dress looked like before my customization.

I added sleeves to this dress as part of my customization and as for the other customization that I had done for this dress I had the length go to mid-calf instead of at the knee or just below the knee.  eShakti is great for being able to customize the length of dresses and even their tops which is something that also drew me to become a customer of the company.  One other thing I really like about their clothing is that the dresses and skirts have pockets!!! You can have the pockets removed as part of the customization but I love pockets so I left mine in.

 I also had this dress made in my own custom sizing by "my body" measurements and not a models.  I am definitely not a cookie cutter size.  This made this dress fit amazing on my body.  I LOVE this dress.  I did choose to wear a black shirt underneath it because the top is sheer.  I usually wear a cami or t-shirt under almost everything I wear anyway.  I have been doing this for so long that I think for me it not just about modesty anymore my husband says it is a comfort thing.
 Can I just say again......eShakti outdid themselves with this dress!! I think the design, fit, and comfort of this dress are amazing.  I just couldn't pass this dress up.  If you like the pictures of eShakti clothing then you will love them even more in person.  Every time I order something from eShakti that I am in love with online I am usually always blown away that I love it even more in person because the pictures just really never give the color and shape of their clothing full justice.

    Hi! Love the dress! I'm thinking about buying it for my upcoming class reunion actually. So the sleeve material is also sheer? Meaning the whole top of the dress + sleeve are all sheer?

      Allison......Yes the whole top of the dress is sheer. It basically has kind of like a tube top shape of fabric underneath to cover your chest and lower back with an elastic and silicone strip to hold it in place. When I ordered this dress I actually didn't realize the top of the dress was sheer. It says illusion in the description, but it looks white in the picture so I just thought it was more of a white color. I can say I LOVE this dress and if you have an issue with the sheer and being modest like I did.....it is totally worth wearing a black shirt under!!

      Here is what it is described like on their site:
      Vibrant floral applique amp up the sweet charm of our sheer tulle dress, illusion topped and underlaid in cotton poplin.
